This kola mom had life-saving surgery with the baby hugging her all the time

Recently a Kola mom suffered serious injury and a collapsed lung as it was hit by a car on the Warrego Highway in Australia. The Kolas are not social animals and only the babies are bonded to the mother till they are weaned after one year.

It was operated in the Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital of the crocodile hunting couple Steve Irwin and his wife Terri. The baby koala clung to its mother throughout the operation. Now, the mother Lizzy and its six months old baby Phantom recovering there. via boredpanda
