The “Fallen Angel” Sculpture Made By Chinese Artist Duo

Though very skilled in crafting realistic sculptures, Beijing artists Sun Yuan and Peng Yu have hardly used any real cadavers (actual dead bodies) or human parts in making this particular ” Angel.”

Using only silica gel, stainless steel, fiberglass and woven mesh, the sculptors have completed the sculpture. Replicating an old woman, this Angel has wings sans feathers, looking like sleeping on a net or probably dead.

As indicated in their website, the project’s purpose is to underline the tension and transition between the supernatural and the earthly. This ethereal being, having fallen down, has lost its power, unable to execute God’s decrees and help those who need its help.via (h/t: designyoutrust) | via boredpanda
