Kjetil Nordin started crocheting the amazing blanket six years ago.T he 31 year-old Norwegian used 100 balls of yarn, and the impressive blanket measures 2.2 by 1.8 meters (7’2”x5’10”). Kjetil even redid a massive section when he realized he had used an imperfect color for a certain portion of the map.

The yarn “was almost purple, and very ugly, so I had to undo all of it. That took an extra week,” Kjetil told NRK. As for future projects, “I can’t rush it. I’ll have a break, and think for a while,” he said. The stunning images shown here are self explanatory. It took him more than 800 hours to complete this unique project. via AlexKingsHill (h/t: dailydot) | via boredpanda
