A Swiss company named Algordanza has taken up a unique project of converting cremated ashes into diamonds. In this process carbon is first extracted from the ashes chemically and then converted into graphite by heating. This graphite is then raised to 2700°F temperature and subjected to a pressure of 870,000 psi for transforming into diamond.
The color of this may range from white to dark blue depending on the boron content in the ash of the departed. You can memorize your beloved by paying 4,259 Swiss Francs or $4,474 for a small diamond. via algordanza.com | Facebook (h/t: ecouterre) | via boredpanda
