The hermit crabs have a peculiar habit of taking shelters in empty snail shells. Artist Aki Inomata from Japan has taken up a project of creating shelters for them. Under his project titled “Why Not Handover a Shelter to Hermit Crabs” he uses 3D printer for creating plastics shells with city landscapes on them for the hermit crabs.
Since hermit crabs inhibit many things like plastic, stone and wood pieces they accept these unique printed shells. Scroll down the page and watch the embedded video to see how their beautiful homes are made. via aki-inomata.com (h/t: spoon-tamago) | via boredpanda
