Known as Cenote Angelita (Spanish for Little Angel), a secret underwater river is found flowing under the ocean in the Yucaton Peninsula of Mexico. The place is reachable after a 10-15 minute travel south of Tulum.
The underwater forms when a thin layer of hydrogen sulfate splits the saltwater from the fresh water, paving even scuba divers to swim along the underwater river which is similar to the one on the ground. In confirmation, fallen trees and leaves remain stuck on both sides of the shores creating a dream-like seascape. Cenotes are basically deep pits or sinkholes, common in Mexico, which form from the caving in of limestone bedrock revealing the groundwater underneath. via tecdive.ru | via: mymodernmet | via boredpanda
